I have been a Red for 30 years, growing up in the island nation of Malta during the 70s and 80s and then moving to the US in 1992. I reside in South Florida, am married to my wonderful wife Mari and we are proud parents of two boys, Paul & Alex. I do not claim to be a football expert, I am just a Liverpool Supporter who bleeds Red and has a lot to say :-). I am currently Director of Web Development at a top-notch travel company. My web development work has included companies in the UK, Malta & the US and ranged in size for very small businesses to fortune 500 companies. In 1996 I was the founder of the Maltese portal Search Malta and am currently the owner of Search Europe.

I do find it hard to comprehend how someone can suddenly chose to support a team as I do not know exactly how I became a Liverpool Supporter. I did not wake up one morning and say “I am going to support Liverpool today”, it was something that grew with me, it is more like a calling than anything. I am sure there are thousands of Reds who feel the same way I do.

I do not remember Bill Shankly as a manager however I do remember Bob Paisley and the European Cup Final of 1981 when Alan ‘Barney Rubble’ Kennedy scored the winning goal. The 1984 final was the best LFC memory (until Istanbul) but unfortunately it was followed by Heysel a year later and then in 1989 the shock of the Hillsborough tragedy. I visited Anfield just 10 months after Hillsborough and I can still remember how I was moved to the Kop’s rendition of Y.N.W.A.

I moved to the US in 1992 and it was very hard to get the results let alone watch the games live. I had to wait until Sunday when the newspaper would have a very small 2 inch section with all the Football results. The Internet however changed everything and by 1994 I was able to start to get the results earlier and then in 1996 we started to get some live matches on TV. Things are different now, I get all Liverpool games live and of course I have more internet resources that I could ever imagine.

The purpose of this site is to provide a global community and resource for Reds scattered all over the world, the blog is the first phase of this project.
