DIC Close to Newcastle Deal

Posted by

Sources close to Empire of the Kop have revealed that Newcastle will strike a deal with Middle-East based consortium DIC within the next three days.

The current owner of the Tyneside club Mike Ashley has been looking for a buyer for the Championship club for a number of months and our sources suggest Mike has agreed a cut price deal with the UAE investors for the football club.

This closes yet another door in the face of Liverpool supporters who would like to see American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett bought out after a turbulent spell in charge of the Merseyside club. DIC were looked upon by reds fans as one of the only hopes of the club being taken over and money being invested.

  1. Hicks is to blame for the failure of DIC not buying us. Even up until 2 months ago good friends of mine who had contacts into M Lynch(Hicks advisors)said it look good for Dubai to buy the club. Bottom line Hicks’ valuation of the club and constantly wanting a minimum share to milk the club have scuppered any deals. The minority of LFC supporters understand that we are being held back Hicks and GG yet the majority who keep on buying match tickets and merchandise are willing to keep them in paying the loan off for them by giving them their hard earned cash. Good luck to newcastle, a club which have been the laughing stock of the PL in the past years.

  2. Gents,

I would never doubt yourselfs or your sources. However as toon fan I`ll believe it when I see it!! Ashley has done a decent job of wrecking Newcastle and if this is true then I hope DIC can sort the toon out. I`ve always had a soft spot for Liverpool and their fans, keep the faith they`ll be gone soon enough. Liverpool will always survive ahead of any muppets that have control, at least you`ve got your trophy cabinet we haven`t even got that to fall back on. See you in the premiership sometime in the next 20 years!!!!

  3. Are these valuble sources or rumours? I hope you are right though, we at NUFC need a bit of lift at the moment, everything is getting us down, the current state of the club and the passing of a Geordie legend Sir Bobby Robson.

  4. I’m a toon fan and i pray this to be true, can i know the source please:). I desperatly want it too be true.

  5. M.Owen i knew you where done when you left the but i did not you where a reporter on a liverpool wed site D I C for the toon

  6. Nice story but unfortunately a little mistaken. I have to admit I thought I was reading the latest work of a former Newcastle resident who claimed to be a Liverpool fan, and spent all day making up stories about Liverpool.

Whoever told you this forgot to tell you that DIC are no more. The Sheikh of Dubai had to get call all his little investment companies in for a rethink before they ran out of money altogether.

Ashley’s doing his deal through Keith Harris, who is currently on holiday having failed to find buyers for a number of clubs, Everton for example, as well as Newcastle.

The only door this story is closing is the one that gives this site any credibility unfortunately, so I’d have a word with those sources if I were you.
