Great news this morning, the Liverpool Echo is reporting that Michael Shields is being set free after he was finally pardoned by Justice Secretary Jack Straw.
Shields has spent 4 1/2 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of the attempted murder of a Bulgarian waiter in 2005.
