Lyon 1 – Liverpool 1 (We did not deserve that)

Quick thoughts about the game, I am too gutted to write much.

We played very well today however luck was not on our side, proud on how the boys performed tonight unfortunately those misses came back to haunt us. Torres, Voronin, Kuyt & Lucas all had good chances unfortunately they were denied by the French keeper.

That was a beautiful goal by Ryan Babel hopefully it will give him the confidence to unleash more of those in the upcoming game.

We need to pick ourselves up and hope that all the injured players return to full fitness soon.

  1. all who cursed RAFA shud shut up now after tonight’s performance and dayz like these make me fall in love even more with LFC,
i am gutted too but not down by any means…….

    YNWA ya reds

  2. In fact it was not a bad match, not an excellent too BUT we played to win. With the qualities we had: without gerrard, without aurelio, without johnson, without skrtel.
So with a Torres injuried, i asked myself “can we really score tonight? we only need it… or die”.
Is Babel better starting ? or substitute and only playing for the last 20 minutes? I really don’t know. BUT compared with Voronin… hmmm well you understand me: this player is old, have no plan of career in our team, he’s not good because not motivated. And Babel is young, and even if he wants to leave he knows he has to show his talent… And we saw his crazy fucking shoot !

    Now all is more complicated.
I know that owners are only focus on financial interest about Champion’s League and if we don’t go in quarter, Rafa will have the knife under his mouse… But whatever happens:

RAFA HAS TO STAY AND WE HAVE TO WANT HIM TO STAY.
He made the team, he made the club since five years. He knows his players, he loves the city and the club, and for us, supporters, he’s like our Father.
The club is built on Rafalution…

Without him a big deep hole…
