That victory is the best tonic

Well as usual right after a game I really do not have many words :-)

Hey we won tonight and it did feel good although that injury time goal by N’Zogbia damped the mood a little bit.

N’Gog got us in the lead early and we had to sweat it out until the 79th minute when Torres came off the bench and made it 2-0.

It was a special night at Anfield with the Great Bill Shankly being remembered on the 50th anniversary of his arrival to Liverpool so it was quite fitting that we took all three points.

We are now in 6th place, and next up is Pompey on Saturday.

  1. We had a touch of good fortune this evening and it has been long overdue. I thought wigan were awful in front of goal and let us off the hook a good few times. The important thing is that three points and the next and then the next and then the next. If I was a player I would be dizzy the amount of times we had though we had turned the corner only to realise we were on a roundabout with all the exits blocked off.
Sometimes you have to accept that things are going against you and just keep plugging away and maybe take a few risks to break that run of bad luck but it doesnt work everytime.
Maybe this result could be the start of a bit of good luck, maybe not, but what I do know is that win lose or draw I will love my club forevermore unreservedly and will remain positive and supportive towards them all when they need it the most.
    After all,
“When you walk through a storm hold your head up high and dont be afraid of the dark, … See More
At the end of the storm there’s a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain though you dreams be tossed and blown,
Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart and you’ll never walk alone,
    You’ll never walk alone”.
is exactly what we are going through and exactly what we should be doing to get through this bad patch. We must stand together and get behind the club as a whole or we are not Liverpool Football Club.
