Manuel Friedrich, Bayer 04 Leverkusen defender and Sami Hyypiä’s team mate praised the Big Finn’s qualities in an interview with a local newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
The 30-years old Manuel Friedrich has spoken about his love to football, his team, the title and his team mates. One of them who he respects the most is the Liverpool Legend Sami Hyypiä.
“We don’t have to argue about Sami. It’s worldclass, what he is performing there on the pitch. To have 36 years of age and still be so fit as he is, to play as he’s playing, to stand there like he does … well, that’s unique. He’s always making everything right, he’s decision are faultless. He’s a big part of the success, of where we are today as team. He helps me, and also the other team mates, to get better, to play better. He’s giving us confidence.”
