Letter to the LFC Board

Posted by

I received this letter that Marie Poole (a Liverpool supporter) just sent to the LFC board.
Great letter Marie.

Dear Sirs

I feel that I must write to the board and say how unhappy I am along with millions of other Liverpool Football Club Supporters all around the world at the way our BELOVED club is being dragged through the depths of despair by the miss management of the Owners and the Board.

You are all responsible for the ruining of the clubs good reputation that has been built up through the years and I have supported this great club for over 50 of those years but now find that my love has turned to sorrow at the way the club is being reported through the media.

As one of many, many millions of supporters who live away from the City of Liverpool and are unable to get the ground for matches we have to rely on what we read in the media but with so many conflicting reports what do we believe. Not one of you will speak out and really tell the TRUE Fans the truth about our club and to me this is not acceptable. Our loyal fans turn out match after match even during a depression and pay a lot of money to see the team but where is this money going it certainly isn’t going to Rafa Benitez for the good of the team so we as supporters can only assume that it is lining the pockets of the owners, Is This Fair. The answer to that is no.

Please if you love this club and it is not only a job for you, let’s find a way to back the Manager and work at getting us back to where we belong. Together, the Board, the Fans, the Manager and the TEAM could do this.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter but feel that I had to say something.

Will I continue to support the Mighty Reds? The answer will always be 120% YES until the day I take my last breath.

Yours truly,

M.E.Poole (Mrs)

  1. Miss Management?! Seriously? Whilst I agree with the sentiments even an 8yr old knows its mismanagement.

  2. totally agree with what you have to say, if you do not want to be involved with our club, let the people who have shown interest know,IE the saudies know they have an interest, they have the money, they know how the fans feel, we do not want the yanks they have ruined the club, they are only interested in what they can get for their american interests, they are using gate money from anfield to line their pockets we the fans have had enough of them, there is a lot of hard earned cash, money that is hard to find from the fans, men, boys, working hard for their gate money, why dont you listen to what we have got to say, are you that thick skinned, maybe, but i ask you to listen to the fans they dont want you here, one down two to go…………….

  3. All very commendable but unfortunately all they care about is

“Will I continue to support the Mighty Reds? The answer will always be 120% YES until the day I take my last breath.”

    Makes things very profitable…

  4. I totally agree, to keep on reading all the cr#p in the press and know/try to imagine what Rafa and the players are going through is really sad! We need to get rid of the owners and we need ALL Liverpool supporteres to stand as one and get things back on track !!!!

  6. So sorry that the letter was proof read as some-one pointed out but that is not the point. These were my feelings and by the looks of the replies on here not the same as many of you. Maybe I am the one that has the wrong end of the stick, maybe many of you are happy about the way the club is being run but I am not.
