So it was finally announced that Maxi ‘La Fiera’ Rodriguez has signed for Liverpool. What a coup by Rafa! A free-signing for a 29 year-old for three-and-a-half years is pretty good negotiating.
We have been crying out for some creativity in midfield, and with Aquilani still getting to know the game over here, someone like Maxi Rodriguez’s class and experience will be invaluable. I still cannot stop watching his goal vs Mexico in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. I’m not expecting volleys like that every week, but some goals at all would be nice. He shouldn’t have much problems making friends either.
So my question is, where does he fit into the team? Does he displace Kuyt on the right-hand side? Or does he play as an attacking-midfielder behind Torres? What do you expect from our new signing?

This is my line-up. Maxi and Benayoun on the flanks because they can switch flanks with ease. Mascherano holding midfield, Aquilani creating play, and the Gerrard/Torres partnership is not broken up. Hallelujah!
We still need a proper forward..whocan half chances to our favor..We need 1 fast..Gerrard torres thing is fine..they are wearing out nowadays because of too much pressure and exhaustion..Gerrard is however a much better midfielder than a forward..We to get back into form..and all this losing isn’t the tonic for motivation..Maxi Can be on the wings ..bt a Turan in midfield or more importantly a goal-machine like Suarez(or anybody with such valour) upfront is the need for the hour..Even Arsenal were falling off last time..look what an Arshavin has done to them last time..Maxi is good bt not enough..We need a faster counterpart in front..
Having said all this ..i Still hope that Maxi Proves me wrong..and proves to be a great signing..has his value worth in Gold..and gets us to the top four..Can’task for much more..
