There we go again …

If there was full moon, or at least a piece of moon to see, I’d definitely go outside and howl to the moon like a wolf .

What a frustrating match that was! Most of the time we were simply playing rubbish! There were only a few moments of quality, but that was it. How come that we cannot overpower a bottom club ? I cannot find no more reasons to explain this to myself. I’m disappointed, frustrated and angry, because a team like Wolves (with all respect) showed more teamwork and more class than we did tonight.  How is that possible ??  Do the players feel ashamed? Should they feel ashamed? Do I feel ashamed for the lack of performance they showed tonight ?

Well, I’ll count untill ten and then I’ll try to find something positive. 1 … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … it could be worse, we could lose … 6 … 7 … Stevie could get injured again, but he fortunately didn’t …8 … 9 … there could be a beach ball flying around trough the pitch, who knows what ideas this wild Wolves-fans have in their hads ? … 10 … OK. I feel better now. There are still a few positives which … hmmmm … at least THEY ARE! Let us leave it like that.

As I said, we could lose, so let us thank to Pepe for his terrific saves. Stevie did a good job, but my MOTM definitely is Pepe. I do not have to explain why, do I ?

  1. Reina did really good job there.
I just wish I could see the same performance from the rest of the team. Why couldn’t they show the same determination as they had playing Spurs?

  2. Reina was amazing kyrgiakos was too but i thing the main problem was the midfield playing 2 defensive midfield player and rafe knew that he needed a goal so why not put aquilani one was he waiting for a lucky goal, extremely frustrating rafa and the players are becoming

  3. i m simply disappointed at the way the team played the manager rafa benitez lacked ideas with his assistants he should build the momentum from the win over spurs yet he couldnt produce wonderful performance..why did he field Gerrad when he is not fully fit??Aquilani is adapting well why didnt he field him maybe Rafa will lie to us that he is not fit again??it seems rafa is enjoying too much protection and cover from some section of the fans maybe he should honourably resign now and go to juventus and leave us to employ Guus hiddink..no spark or creativity from the midfield why did he field two holding midfielders against a lesser team??

  4. The problem with us is that we do not seem to be able to change an established game plan in the course of the game. Our fullbacks were pinned back and the Wolves players challenged every single ball. We seem to persist with the same game plan for 90 minutes and we all know that even in war, when you attack in the same manner your opposition gets used to your attacks and you make life easier. We do not even switch wingers to cause confusion. We give our opponents points of reference and we retain them for the full lenght of the game. The attitude was weak, the pitch was purposely skinned of grass, and we should not have played Stevie! I’d want him everyday, but I would have preferred to have him back against Bolton!

  5. I agree with you Tonio. The lack of ideas in the game is one of the main problems we have.

But i disagree with you, Brai, ’cause, I’ll repeat it one more time, to let Rafa go it’s not the solution. The players are also a big part of the blame. They are playing on the pitch and they MUST improve. I agree Aguilani should came on earlier, but that’s not the only reason for the draw and we shouldn’t concentrate only on blaming Rafa again, that wouldn’t be fair.
