Liverpool fans create their own shirt

Posted by

This is simply pure genius, a group of fans got together and created a new shirt to answer the state of our club. The shirt is all black because we are all in mourning over what Hicks and Gillett have done to our beloved club. The Standard Chartered Logo has been replaced with “Standards Corrupted” and two snakes that represent Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

The shirt was designed by Liverpool fan Kitster and thanks to Viga they were able to get the shirt printed and available for sale. Viga will ship the shirt worldwide and all profits from the shirt will go to The Hillborough Justice Campaign and Spirit of Shankly.

There have been many Liverpool supporters calling for a boycott of the new Liverpool shirts and official merchandise while Hicks and Gillett still own the club. The black shirt offers Liverpool supporters an opportunity to support their club in a way that was not possible before. If the shirt is a success then we should see Anfield turning black on match days.

I do not have anything to do with this shirt other than spreading the word, if you have any questions and to purchase the shirt go to http://lsu.viga.co.uk/

The shirt is available for purchase at http://lsu.viga.co.uk/

  1. Still need to see what it ACTUALLY looks like, these mock ups look good but the manufactured version might not be. I’ll wait.

Good to see this will be a non-profit movement, any and all profit is going to SOS and other Liverpool groups.

  2. Fans? Really? 99% of real fans already have a shirt, if they want to boycott the new one they simply wear the old one. Bunch of money grabbing wannabees like those green’n’yellow mancs………….WISE UP.

  3. Dear lord, read the webpage before making such daft comments. All profits got to HJC and SOS. There’s also two links in the article that link to the page to pre-order so yes, you can buy it!

  4. Cool shirt and only £20 for adults and £15 for kids. Placed my order late last night. Not sure of delivery date yet. Seeing this shirt everywhere will really deliver the message across the world, that we want these greedy Americans out of our club

  5. Living in the real world?

The idea is to wear a fans shirt, not a club shirt.
So wearing a red club shirt would negate the actual point.

It is designed to show that we do have some economic muscle where the club is concerned and to make a difinitive statemt of our intent.

The shirt has been designed sourced and a manufacturing agreement entered into at great personal time, expense and commitment by those involved.
There is no profit being made by anyone associated with this.
Any monies over will, as already been stated will be donated to the HJC and to S.O.S

If living in your version of the real world means cynicism, being ill-informed and using lies to vent your spleen then I’m delighted not to be living in it.

As in life, you have a choice. Buy it or not. It’s very simple.
However you choose to proceed, will be welcomed by all level headed Liverpool fans.

  6. YNWA

  7. Are people serious?? SOS are just as posionious as the yanks!! Full of bull that they feed everyone why should they get profit from something?? they cant do anythin for our club an they speak for a small minority of fans! the yanks are going no matter what they can not stay the banks wont let them so get over it an just support the club the right way!

  8. Just a thought…looks great I agree, and the sentiment and the fact that profits going to HJC and SoS is fantastic too….but…what have Standard Chartered done to get their logo defaced apart from give us the best sponsorship deal we could wish for (I know what you are saying, will the money go to service debt etc etc, but money to buy players needs to come from the collective pot). Do some people want them to walk away aswell as Dumb and Dumber? Am I missing something about SC? Seems like we all want the club to have an increase in fortunes, but this could be detrimental. Just because it’s associated with Purslow, and H & J doesn’t mean we should write the deal off! Like I say, I totally agree with the sentiment…just trying to be ‘level-headed’. Trust me I’m as p@%%$d off with our current predicament as anyone being as season ticket holder for 25 years

  9. “Thank you for your order
Thanks dave. We have recieved your order and will send you an email to complete payment when we are ready to make delivery.”

Looking forward to my new protest shirt. How about this for a punchline:

Out of the red, into the black.

  10. NAB this is the kind of visible fanpower that will get noticed. The more we protest these yank liars, the less profit (stadium money) they slink away with.

Save your merchandise money and use it to boost the new owners when H&G finally $*%* off.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be this shirt, I think if everybody in the cop wears any kind of black t-shirt, clothing etc the point is made.

    YNWA – Save LFC

  11. I will getting 1. Great shirt and i think its a great idea. Try and fill the stadium with these and it will help get the yanks out!!!

  12. Living in the Real World – really now? Doesn’t seem like it from your comments. If you actually bothered to read the linked website, you would see that actually, the people behind this shirt are not making any profit whatsoever from this shirt – once the initial cost has been covered, any extra money will be donated to SOS and the HJC. So explain to me how this is “money grabbing” in any way at all? Go on, I’m intrigued.

  13. @Real Fan (Very unusual choice of name there)
If you were to find out the ‘Real’ facts your argument would carry a bit more weight.
Unfortunately you chose not to do that which leaves your comments flawed to say the least.

We are all entitled to an opinion of course but where people like you tend to fall down is when you are asked to substantiate your wild claims with some semblance of fact, rather than merely spouting your opinion.

So please…..try and answer with a reasond response that contains something to back up your claims.

  14. People need to stop waiting to see what the real thing look’s like and get one pre-ordered !! I’m positive they’ll look smart and to be honest the main purpose is not to look smart but to make a point and in protest of the current regime !!

    Yanks out !!
