  1. Im very surprised Agger is fit to play after only being concussed very recently! Come on boys YNWA!!!

  2. I’m still very worried about the left back position. Agger is serviceable in that position we still need someone with more attacking prowess. Agger also best helps the team in defense as he is the only defender able to bring the ball up the pitch. As for Mascherano, I’m very disappointed in his actions. Does he really think we would accept an offer of 12M for him even with the inclusion of Hleb? He’s not being a professional at all and this could really tarnish his image at LFC. With that said, I believe we still have a real chance of winning this game. El Nino should give us a boost. YNWA!

  3. i’m so disappointed at mascherano’s attitude. unprofessional at all. roy hodgson is playing hard and i agree … he has a contract to respect and i won’t sell him for a penny less that his real valuation. besides, we have to act quickly to get a replacement now that aqua has gone as well … really disappointed. it’s a courageous formation by hodgson .. hope we do well … come on reds!

  4. OK so maybe the 442 formation was a gamble that didn’t pay off.

Torres = yet to regain his sharpness
Ngog = lightweight and can’t hold the ball up
Jovanovic & Kuyt = too much alike – neither of them natural wingers, & a bit predictable. Both better in a 4-5-1 formation
Lucas = no Mascherano – doesn’t read the game as well and gets caught in posession

Other than that I thought Glen Johnson had a poor game this evening. But it’s all to do with Liverpool getting over-run in midfield. With Aquilani departed and Mascherano on his way I wonder if Hodgson’s going to have to sign another senior midfielder as well as a striker and a left back? Somebody who can unlock a defence, please…

    D.
