Preview : Liverpool vs Blackpool, wish I could watch this with you dad

Posted by

Next Friday October 8th is my dad’s 77th birthday, unfortunately my father passed away in 1996. Dad was a Blackpool fan and this would have been a great birthday present for him, we could be watching the game together at Anfield however it will never happen. We haven’t played the Seasiders since 1971 and of course being only 1 year old at the time I don’t remember that game. Growing up my dream was to  see Liverpool face Blackpool and have some serious banter with my dad.

Sorry dad but Liverpool must win this one, we need three points desperately. Following our losses to Manchester United, Northampton Town and then the boring draw at Utrecht we Reds are worried and need to see our boys perform.

Roy faces a big left back headache; Fabio Aurelio, Paul Konchesky and Daniel Agger are all injured however Martin Kelly has been declared fit. Steven Gerrard will be back to captain the Reds after missing the Europa League game.

Predicted Lineup:
Pepe Reina, Glen Johnson, Jamie Carragher, Martin Skrtel,  Martin Kelly, Lucas Leiva, Raul Meireles, Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole, Dirk Kuyt, Fernando Torres

I will be very happy with three points but I will ecstatic if we play some good football on top of it.

Kick off time is at 3PM BST

  3. under any other ownership than what we all have as the club are owned by con men, there is no place in the world i would be at then at our ANFIELD, but at the moment while we are being ripped apart, then i will not set foot in the ground to give them income.

but to watch Liverpool FC at home is a place normally than can not and will not be betterd,

  4. Im a red from birth but I live in Blackpool, what is happening here is nothing short of a rebirth for the town. Did anyone see the tv interview with Ian Holloway? Taylor-Fletcher is a red fan from birth and to play at Anfield was a dream for him but for them to win is something they couldnt beleive would happen, If they stay in the top flight at the expense of 1 game against my team I wont begrudge them that, Good luck seasiders,
