Napoli 0 Liverpool 0
For the game against Napoli Roy Hodgson fielded a very different team with several changes from the Merseyside derby. Quite a few first team players didn’t even travel, but there was a strong team out there nonetheless with Reina, Carragher, Konchesky et al playing.
The game itself was very boring and there wasn’t much to write home about. Napoli nearly scored at the end of the first half with a chance that was kicked off the goal line by Paul Konchesky.
In the second half Babel had a great chance to score, but his first touch got the better of him, and David NGog also had a chance to put his name of the scoresheet.
We were the better team in the second half, but we never really looked like scoring even when we did have a couple of chances that on any other day we would have hit the back of the net with.
Another disappointing game in a season that has been disappointing from the word go. Things can only get better to be honest, they can’t get much worse quite frankly.
