Well I’ll just assume that all of you were as ecstatic as I was earlier today when we finally gave a performance to be proud of, yes it could have and should have came earlier than November but I am so glad that it came against the title favourites, Chelsea. Not only do we show the footballing world that we can play as well as the biggest teams in the league but also that we can outplay the biggest teams in the league. The reason we played so much better in this match than in the rest of the season so far was that we were playing as a unit and finally our whole team seemed to gel together, not only were we creative when making chances for the forwards but we also worked extremely hard and defended excellently. However there were also some awesome individual performances which I will individually review:
Well not exactly a performance but he has slightly silenced his critics, his biggest task now is to improve this dismal away record which has plagued his managerial career by getting two wins against Wigan and Stoke.
Read the title of this article and this explains how I feel about Fernando, form is temporary, class is permanent pretty much sums it up.
Lucas helped settle an argument between myself and a few scum fans on Friday, basically the argument involved me saying that Lucas is not as bad as most fans think he is and that he is a very decent cm, well obviously they disagreed but I’m glad that he has proven me right today, he’s not going to be a world beater but he is a decent player and my other point was that he is better than Anderson, a little hint also on that one if you want to prove that Anderson is crap just ask united fans what he is good at, shuts them right up haha.
Ran the whole midfield, has showed this week why he currently is the best centre midfielder in the world and why he is debatably, Liverpool’s greatest ever player.
After a while out Dirk comes out to give a very good performance, its not just a credit to his fitness but also his determination to get back to his best.
In conclusion great performance and a deserved three points. Maybe that golden sky at the end of the storm is becoming a little bit more visible.
