Liverpool playing on Saturday has been a rarity lately due to the Europa League commitment. Thanks to fact that we have a couple of weeks off from European duty we get to travel to the Britannia to face Stoke on a Saturday.
Former Red Jermaine Pennant should feature for Stoke. The Potters have been a little bit of a boogie team for us in the last couple of seasons, we need all three points from this one.
Sotirios Kyrgiakos is expected to return however Joe Cole, Glen Johnson, Ryan Babel and Daniel Agger are still injured. Brad Jones is also expected to return to the bench. I don’t think Roy will tinker much with the lineup that played mid-week.
