Hodgson should stay

This is a satirical write up, ie Funny, Joke.

After the one sided view poll earlier this week let’s looks at the excuses/reasons there might be why Woy Hodgson should stay. Which ones do you think could be used?
1.    Continuity.
2.    Hodgson is a nice man and has taken over at a difficult time and still hasn’t had time to impose his own style
3.    He has pedigree having been manager of the year and been a relatively successful manager for many years so everyone knows he’s good accept the supporters.
4.    He is English and Rafa was Spanish.
5.    NESV don’t know too much about football yet so won’t make what could be a rash decision.
6.    The owners have a long term plan and taking knee jerk decisions are not part of their philosophy.
7.    Hodgson has the backing of his players. They might all come out in the next few days and say they were to blame and they stand by him.
8.    The team has been plagued by injuries to the best players, Agger, Gerrard, Torres and now Carragher and the rest are crap.
9.    Lucas is playing better under Hodgson due to his wise decision of bringing in Poulson to put him under pressure.
10.    Konchesky fits in to the LFC ethos as he has a bald head and loves his Mum.
11.    Cole will improve as he is using Liverpool as a stepping stone to return home to West Ham with a big money transfer and LFC can buy better players.
12.    Kenny Dalglish knows nothing about football or LFC and is just a power hungry media specialist that knows how to manipulate. So ignore him in the directors box.
13.    Hodgson should be allowed to work his (very long) FIVE year contract as Rome wasn’t built in a day although it was almost destroyed in 1984
14.    Liverpool want to be in a relegation fight as it has been over 50 years we haven’t tasted such a wonderful experience and we only Hodgson has been there before.
15.    Fergie likes him and they are best buddies and he has the respect of the media.
16.    Rafa lives nearby and we don’t want him back so let’s annoy him by keeping Hodgson
17.    The fans accept Hodgson’s apologies and believe everything he is doing will save LFC from further embarrassment.
18.    Sammy Lee does not make the minimum height requirement to make a LFC manager so can’t take over or be a caretaker manager.
19.    Comolli has the new Zidane and brought him in on a free transfer.
In 2011 Let’s hope none of these are used and the players form a team and start winning then Hodgson goes on being the lame duck manager he has become and it gives us time to find a new leader to put the house in order. On the other hand NESV give it to Kenny.

  1. FUCKING WIND UP OR WHAT….

DISGRACE OF A POST, REMOVE IT NOW PLEASE BEFORE I WILL DO YOU FUCKING SHITE YOU….

  2. I’m still laughing at no.12!

I check the football news everyday in hope of one thing: That we have a new manager in the morning.

  3. I agree with Antoine. All opinions should be allowed here, and I applaud him for letting different views be heard!

  4. satirical article Yes, but a point has a strong validity:

16.Rafa lives nearby and we don’t want him back

    Totally agree.
The only good reason to stick with Roy.

  5. Roy is not the man to take us forward… neither is Kenny Dalglish. Look what happened when Keegan went back to Newcastle. We need a new man in the job who can bring his own ideas to the club and attrct world class talent. I like Dalglish but he’s had so long out of management that it would be a huge gamble.

  6. Antoine Zammit , I WILL NOT GET A LIFE , ITS A DISGRACE I AM DISGUSTED , ANTOINE YOU MUST NEVER SPEACK TO ME AGAIN IN THIS WAY , YOU ARE SO RUDE. HHHMPPPFF

  7. If Roy Hodgson had the least dignity and integrity for this football giant club and its fans throughout the world, he would have stepped down. But he is proving himself as a dwarf manager who just care how to lay comfortably on what he thinks might provide him with security, the supposed support he enjoys from the new owners and the players as he claims! But this dwarf manager doesn’t realize that his days are up. This dwarf manager doesn’t realize that the heritage of this club was build up on the fundamental of its fans, “YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE!” He has lost the real sense and meaning of what it takes to be a Liverpool manager. He said, “tt has taken me a long while to get to this elevated position coaching one of the best clubs in Europe.” Not exactly right Mr. Roy! This is one of the best clubs in the world not just in Europe and you can no longer be a disgrace and humiliation to its heritage and fans!

  8. This is the best article I have read all week. I gotta ask tho, why do people liken Dalglish’s return to Anfield as the same as Keegans return to Newcastle. Dalglish was an exceptionally good manager at Liverpool. When was Keegan ever a good manager????
I don’t understand the comparison. A manager has to be a good leader that commands respect from those who he is in charge of. And there is not a player that will pull on the Liverpool jersey that will not respect King Kenny. I think he is a good choice to stop the rot till the summer. Then between now and then we can scoout for a new manager to take over. Oh, and Samuel, please tell me you are joking.

    1. Max/Tony : First of all I am not Jewish however if I was you are wrong very wrong to make death threats on the internet.

I see that you are in Liverpool and I must forward your information to the authorities.

I don’t post the user information however in this case I am going to for everyone to see as threats like

  9. Papa… Kevin Keegan was seen in the same light by Newcastle fans as Dalglish is by the majority of Liverpool fans. A messiah and saviour. I don’t think Dalglish is a good choice. He’s been out of management far too long. The game has evolved considerably since he last managed. Remember his time at Celtic? Dalglish had a team of winners at Liverpool, an exceptional manager in his time. He would inherit a bunch of players who can’t gel, I think him taking over would damage the aura he commands from all us fans. I mean this with the greatest of respect to the man. What would people think of him if he failed to stop the rot and our season plunged to new lows? I think he’s a great figurehead for the club, but as for becoming manager again, absolutely not.

  10. Just my opinion but i think King Kenny has been out of management for too long to be a success, and what passionate liverpool fan would want him to take the job and fail – and hear the Kop booing his every decision! I do not think Roy is the right man for the job either and think he should go but who should take over is the big question?????? do we have the pulling power to attract the likes of Giddink or Reijkard?? Probably not at the moment!!! your thoughts appreciated….
