Today March 7th marks the 2nd birthday of Empire of The Kop, what started with a few Facebook friends has now grown into one of the largest fan football communities in the world.
Can’t tell you how honoured I am and can’t thank you for the wonderful experience, the last two years have been tremendous. We at Liverpool boast about our history however I strongly believe the events of the last two years have been some of the most monumental in our long glorious history. Just a few days after EOTK launched we beat Real Madrid 4-0 and then Manchester United 4-1. We witnessed Liverpool in the bottom three and then Hicks and Gillett being ousted in a High Court drama and new responsible owners coming in. We saw King Kenny return and Fernando Torres betraying us with a British record transfer fee. The club turned around and also broke the club record with the signing of Andy Carroll for a staggering £35 million. We have seen the emergency of many hopeful prospects in the youth team and the return to the Liverpool Way under the leadership of Kenny Dalglish.
When I launched EOTK my objective was to unite Liverpool supporters from all over the world and I believe that EOTK has met that objective and some. Of course this would not have been possible without the writers, contributors, Facebook fans and the thousands of Twitter followers.
Thank you.
Y.N.W.A.

Happy Birthday EOTK! Makes me proud to be a Reds supporter even more than I already am :)
Just goes to show how important you have become. I am shocked that EmpireoftheKop is only 2 yrs old. Seems like you’ve been around forever as that trusting source of information in an age where everyone has a fansite/blog, all linking poor rumour mongering sites etc.
Nice to have a source of genuine opinion from this great family of fans from all over the globe.
Very fitting that you were in town for the win against ManUre and Kenny’s birthday celebration !
Many thanks to Antoine and your team for your efforts in good times and in bad and the very best of luck for the future.
