I have to disagree with you on that on Antoine, but Suarez is not a hero… yet.
Granted, what he’s done in the short time he’s been here – make us forget about whatshisname – has been brilliant.
However, we can’t go falling for “The One” again. The gilted lover in me, who got stood up at the alter, is still hurting, and nobody is gonna be a hero to me, until they rightly prove it.
“Hero” and “Ledgend” get banded about far too easily these days, and, to be honest, Suarez just being another player in our team is what I’d love.
Just another player – with players up to the same ability as him in the team.
To be a hero after such a short space of time, shows us that we really don’t have much in our team if that is the case.
To call him a hero after 2 months is an inditement on whats been going on and who we have at our club.
It may be true, but I don’t want to believe it!
Andy Carroll is 22 Capello… how can he play for the under-21s? Doesn’t make sense to me!
