Arsenal – Liverpool (Sunday)

Posted by

After our impressive mauling of Manchester City we travel down to London to try to break our duck at the Emirates.

A catch-22 situation puts us in a position of helping Manchester United win the 19th title, we are Liverpool FC and we always play to win, winning this game is more important for us than stopping United winning the league. We still have a good shot of European football so we can’t miss this opportunity and we have to give it all we have got.

Kenny still has many injuries to deal with, Stevie G & Daniel Agger are out for the rest of the season while Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly are still a few weeks away from returning to duty. I believe Kenny will go with the eleven that beat City on Monday.

Predicted Starting XI:
Reina, Flanaghan, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Lucas, Spearing, Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll

Kick off is at 4PM BST

  3. Antoine I beg to differ here friend. We do not always play to win. We did not play to win last year at home to Chelsea and we gifted them the PL title.
Having said that I hope that as you said we can break our duck and make the most of Arsenal’s fragile defense.

  4. Come on you REDS, 6 matches to win , we can do it. Believe.

  5. Alex, arse had their chances. I was hoping arse wud b leading the table by the time u meet Liverpool. But we will play to win today. YNWA!

  6. arsenal will fold if we play like we did against city.they can’t handle going down a couple,or being rushed at. you watch

  7. Antoine, did you get a 10/10 for the line up prediction?

Maybe I am naive but I love being so and I sincerely believe that no team would ever play to lose. Reds even more so. I can foresee an Arsenal mauling today. Suarez has always looked good and tonight’s defense would be just the thing he needs to complete those final 1-2 dribbles before pushing the ball in. Carroll is looking hungry too!
