eBook : Welcome to Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers

Posted by

When Liverpool Football Club dismissed Kenny Dalglish last month, a tirade of media speculation followed. According to the press, Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Martinez, Rafa Benitez and even the Anfield Cat were up for the Liverpool hot seat.
But it was ambitious 39-year-old Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers who the club’s owners chose was worthy of such a prestigious appointment. Now Rodgers leads Liverpool FC into a new era, looking to emulate the days of Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.

In ‘Welcome to Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers’ – the essential guide to LFC’s new manager from Soccer Publishing Ltd. – you’ll find reaction from the man himself, the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group, players, the media and fans. There’s also a detailed factfile and history of the former Swansea, Reading and Watford boss.

Jed Davies discusses the way that Liverpool will adapt to play Rodgers’ tactical ideal of ‘tiki-taki’ football under the new regime.

Marco Lopes looks at what effect Rodgers’ appointment will have on the club’s transfer policies and squad selections from this summer onwards.

Si Steers looks at the overall choice of appointment in Rodgers and how he is the perfect candidate to fit into the traditional, but forward-thinking mold of the club.

Craig Rimmer looks back at Liverpool’s mistakes in years gone by and reflects on why now, more than ever, it is important that the club have learnt from those mistakes.

John Driffield and Steven Harris, whilst disappointed at the departure Dalglish, welcome the appointment of Rodgers to Liverpool.

‘Welcome to Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers’ is available for PC, Mac, Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Android, Nook and other ebook readers from soccerpublishing.com and Amazon for just £1.49.

  1. Looking forward to rodger’s tiki taka magic at LFC. Siggy deal is practically done, and there are strong rumours that we might bid for adam johnson. One player who I think will thrive under brendan rodgers and is extremely underrated is giovani dos santos. Also lfc needs a goal machine in the likes of matias suarez or soldado both (signable) Y.N.W.A
