Plea for ‘Sir Kenny’
A UK native, now living in San Diego, has started a petition to request a knighthood for Kenny Dalglish in recognition of his support for the families of those who died at Hillsborough.
The petition already has many signatures, mixes Kenny Dalglish’s actions both on and off the field. He launched this petition in the hope of getting Kenny Dalglish in the New Year’s honors list for his services to sport, charity and particularly his response to the disaster in 1989 that claimed the lives of 96 Liverpool fans.
People are commemorated for their services to national sport, Sir Bobby Robson for instance, charitable causes, and Kenny and Marina [his wife] have had a very successful charity – the Marina Dalglish Breast Cancer Appeal – which has opened a new radiotherapy centre in Fazakerley hospital. Then there is the support he has given to the families – and therefore the community – from day one. So he has done all three.

Please spread the word we have until the end of October to gather 10,000 signatures for the new years honors list
Definitely , most capped scotsman , league titles won as a player here and in Scotland plus European cups , FA and league cups here and Scotland 3 or 4 world cups as a player , player of the year multiple times here and Scotland , four league titles as a manager plus FA cups , league and cup double as player/ manager . Just that is far more than any other football person ever decorated has achieved , oh hang on , maybe Trevor Brooking achieved more , maybe not . Add the this his support for the families of the 96 and others , plus his other charitable efforts , Marina Dalglish breast cancer appeal etc , as another well the greatest scot / scouser ever said on many occasions ” it’s a travesty of justice ” that he isn’t already Sir Kenny already , but he is and always will be KING KENNY t

Kenny healed the whole city after Hillsborough besides his great service in football. He deserves knighthood.
