Too Late For Carra But Not Over For Stevie

Posted by

This week Jamie Carragher announced he intends to retire at the end of the current 2012/2013 season. It was a sad day for all reds and not the news they wanted to hear. With his recent good form most reds expected Carra to sign on for another year and then call time on a glittering career. This brings to an end Carra’s dreams of getting his hands on a Barclays Premier League winners medal but It’s not to late for Stevie.Stevie is in the best shape of his life which is mostly down to the backroom staff at anfield.Liverpool now posess some of the best medical staff in the country.Fitness and Conditioning Analyst Ryland Morgans,First Team Doctor Zaf Iqbal and Physiotherapist Chris Morgan. They all do their bit for the players and are one of the main reasons usual injury prone players like Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger have played so often for the reds this term.Above all there is one man responsable for the reason Stevie Gerrard has played EVERY single minute of EVERY Premier League game this year.Brendan Rodgers. He gives Stevie an 2 days off after every Barclays Premier League game whilst every other player only gets one day off after every Barclays Premier League game.

Since Brendan Rodgers has come in Liverpool have vastly improved.Beating a lot of teams we would have failed to beat last year and scoring a lot more goals.Since the arrival of Daniel Sturridge and Phillipe Coutinho in January Liverpool’s future looks even more bright under Brendan Rodgers especially with more funds in the next 2 years.Stevie has around 3 years left in the tank at the highest level for Liverpool because of the reasons i have outlined which leads me to my next question. Can Liverpool win the Barclays Premier League title in the next 3 years. The answer?YES.With the money caps coming in it will stop Man City and Chelsea overspending.Man United will think twice about paying 24 million for a 29 year old as there will be points deductions if you over spend. This will give Liverpool a greater chance of winning the title and with the right mentality I.E going to Old Trafford etc and attacking from the start we certainly can do it.It may be over for Carra but Stevie G still has another few chapters left to add to his glittering career.YNWA
