Will the Reds snap up the Norwegian prodigy?
Brendan Rodgers has finally discussed the persistent rumours that the club are chasing Norwegian wonderkid Martin Ødegaard.
The 15-year-old currently plies his trade for Strømsgodset IF, and his performances this season have been so outstanding he’s won two full international caps already.
While Rodgers was keen to remind reporters that Ødegaard plays for a different club, he couldn’t help but wax lyrical over the playmaker’s talent, so it’s pretty clear that the Reds would secure his signature should they get the chance.
Capturing Ødegaard, widely regarded as one of the most talented teenagers in world football, would be a real coup for the Reds, although Real Madrid, Manchester United and Ajax are all monitoring his situation closely.
He is however, a boyhood Liverpool fan, which could help us tempt him to Anfield.
Fingers crossed, eh?
