Fabio Borini posts inspirational Twitter message following Real Madrid defeat

The hardworking forward battled at the Bernabeu on Tuesday evening, but to no avail…

Fabio Borini worked his socks off for the Reds last night, and was one of many players to leave the field having enhanced his reputation, despite the fact Liverpool fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Bernabeu versus Real Madrid.

The Italian failed to create and goalscoring opportunities, but toiled up top, harried defenders, and held the ball up well; despite being occasionally isolated at the top of the field.

The 23-year-old posted this message on Twitter this morning, reminding his followers that hard work will prevail.

Borini has yet to score a goal for the Reds this season, but produced a wonderful assist in Liverpool’s latest victory over Swansea in the League Cup. The forward turned down a move away from the club during the summer – following heavy interest from Sunderland and QPR.

With both Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert having yet to score a Premier league goal either however, Borini could get more chances in the coming weeks.
