Star striker visits specialist in search of faster recovery…
Liverpool have sent Daniel Sturridge to visit a specialist in Los Angeles as a result of his debilitating thigh injury, reports the Mirror.
He will not undergo surgery or medical treatment though, with the Liverpool coaching staff simply hoping that warm weather training will speed up his recovery date, and get him available again soon after Christmas.
As we all know, the forward hasn’t pulled on a red shirt since August after picking up an injury while on international duty with England – and in his absence, the team has badly struggled to score goals.
Twice he’s been scheduled for a return, only to re-injure himself in the buildup to match day – much to his, the club’s and our enormous frustration.
Irritatingly, that still means he’ll miss a crucial run of fixtures against the likes of FC Basel, Manchester United and Arsenal.
