QPR flop slams Mario Balotelli, who ‘doesn’t play for the team’

Yet another player criticises Mario, despite the fact he’s been injured for a month…

Adel Taraabt, the French playmaker who spent the last half of the 2013/14 season at AC Milan with Mario Balotelli, has labelled our Italian striker lazy, reports the Daily Mail.

Taraabt did well on loan with the Serie A giants last term, and his relationship with Balotelli appeared to be strong – but it turns out the QPR owned attacking midfielder didn’t actually rate his former teammate at all…

“Everybody told me he (Balotelli) was amazing,” Taraabt began.

“I played with him and I can confirm he’s good, but he didn’t seem like a world-class player to me.

“He has a strong shot but he doesn’t play for the team. Or if he does, then he doesn’t score which is the case now with Liverpool.

“He had a lot of chances, from Manchester City to Milan, and he threw them all away.”

There’s a few things that irk us about these comments…

Firstly, Taraabt is probably one of the laziest, selfish footballers we’ve seen play. So much so, his manager Harry Redknapp branded him overweight and ‘unfit to play football’ earlier in the season.

Secondly, Balotelli has just come back from a month long injury, yet ex-players seem to feel the need to criticise him, even when he’s been unable to take the football field.

Paul Ince, our former skipper, weighed into the 24-year-old earlier in the week, and we think it’s high time so-called experts at least state their opinions once he’s regained full fitness.
