Another positive result on Monday has buoyed the Reds.

Jordan Henderson believes the new attacking trio at Liverpool of Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana is starting to work well.

It was a fine display from all three as we beat Swansea City 4-1 in the Premier League on Monday night and the vice-captain thinks Brendan Rodgers may have found a winning solution in the final third.

“Lallana and Coutinho are playing in a more advanced position behind Raheem and I think they’ve been outstanding,” Henderson told the club’s website.

“Those three have caused teams real problems. Again tonight they were outstanding. They were a real threat going forward, but they also did the dirty work as well in defending, so that was very pleasing for us.”

It was the first time this season we had scored four goals in a game and shows that perhaps there is life after Luis Suarez after all.

Rodgers does still have some issues to address in attack, with Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert all having been below par this term.

However, Sterling has enough class to be able to convert to a capable striker and the hard work of Coutinho and Lallana make them the perfect support players.
