Xherdan Shaqiri deal moves closer says Italian journalist

A permanent deal has been offered for the attacking midfielder.

Rumours that Bayern Munich ace Xherdan Shaqiri is coming to Liverpool continue to rumble on as Italian journalist Guglielmo Cannavale says a permanent offer has been made.

The Switzerland international has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield ever since Pep Guardiola arrived as head coach at Bayern in 2013.

This is because Shaqiri is not in the Spaniard’s first team plans and is looking for more game time away from the Allianz Arena.

Whether or not the 23-year-old would be a good signing is another matter, but he has certainly shown with his performances at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil that he possesses talent.

Shaqiri would be competing with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Raheem Sterling for a place in the starting XI.

The Swiss star could be a useful addition for us and would add another dimension to the team and could also be available for a reasonable price due to his low billing with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
