Steven Gerrard’s most likely next club named

Our skipper will see out his playing days in the MLS…

Steven Gerrard is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season (gulp), and in all probability, he’s moving to America, and one club in particular is being heavily mooted.

La Galaxy are the frontrunners for the 34-year-old’s signature…

The Daily Mail claim that along with New York Red Bulls, they’re the club most likely to sign him on a free, although president Chris Klein was coy when asked about Gerrard.

“We don’t have anything yet. We don’t comment on players that are not with our club. We’ve been pretty consistent with that all along,” he said.

Spanish journalist Kike Marin has also named David Beckham’s former club as Gerrard’s next team, too.

This translates, as ‘They tell me that Gerrard has been offered a great deal by LA Galaxy MLS’.

LA Galaxy do probably tick a lot of boxes of what Gerrard is looking for…

They will never have to face Liverpool, and he can live with his family in blistering heat, probably in a rather extravagant beach-side mansion on the west coast!

Well known players to have represented LA Galaxy include the previously mentioned Beckham, current skipper Robbie Keane, Carlo Cudicini, Juan Pablo Angel, Landon Donavon, Juninho and ex-Red Abel Xavier – but the signing of Gerrard could be the most exciting in the franchise’s history.
