Are the Reds really interested in Adam Bogdan…?

Following his superb goalkeeping performance against us in the FA Cup at the weekend, we’ve been heavily linked to Bolton Wanderers stopper Adam Bogdan in the Daily Mail and other publications.

The 27-year-old left Anfield with a well-earned clean-sheet, saving especially brilliantly from a Fabio Borini curler in the second half.

Surprisingly, the Hungarian isn’t even Bolton’s first-choice stopper. Andy Lonergan has been preferred, and Bogdan has only played twice since August!

As a result, Liverpool reckon they can acquire Bodgan to put extra pressure on Simon Mignolet, who after a torrid start to the season, has actually improved tenfold in recent weeks.

Bogdan’s performance in the FA Cup proves he’ll be an upgrade on current understudy Brad Jones, and we’ll get another chance to check him out during the upcoming 4th round replay…

For the right price, this signing could prove an astute one, although fans will be questioning if he’s really good enough considering he can’t get in Bolton’s usual starting XI.
