Lazar Markovic has been used heavily recently, and with Johnson fit again, we think he’ll be given a runout so that the Serb is primed for the derby.
ML) Jose Enrique
Due to the physical demands of the wing-back role, Alberto Moreno may also get a breather for the Bolton clash. Enrique is probably defensively slightly stronger, although he won’t offer nearly as much going forward.
MC) Lucas
Lucas is completely and utterly key to our style, and provides a superb central anchor to the side. If Rodgers is taking more risks and resting some stars, Joe Allen is an option here, instead.
MC) Jordan Henderson
The vice-captain sets the tone for our pressing style, and due to his immense levels of fitness, he can happily play both midweek and at the weekend.
