Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has come under criticism for suggesting that Liverpool fans and players celebrated their FA Cup fifth round victory over his side too boisterously.
The Eagles chief took to Twitter after watching his team’s elimination at Selhurst Park, posting the below:
When we took over we just avoided going to the third tier. Yesterday #LFC beat us. They are celebrating like they won the league #progress

Naturally, Reds fans were frustrated at what seemed like bitter comments, and replied to the tweet with the following:
“@Jed_Die: @CEO4TAG Once Liverpool went 2-1 up they kept the ball. Learning from their earlier mistakes against Palace #TimeWasting”
Wary!

“@CPrice_98: @CEO4TAG Only because you are our bogey team mate. Don't get carried away, you're still wank.”
