He hasn’t even ruled out catching Man City into second…

Jordan Henderson says the Liverpool squad’s belief is sky-high following their win over Man City and is targeting a long win streak to secure a top four finish.

Our win streak went to 11 matches on Sunday with the 2-1 win and since the turn of the year we’ve managed to acquire more points than any other side.

However, we’re still two points behind United in fourth and three of Arsenal in third with crucial fixtures against the two coming in the next month.

But despite the gap. Henderson believes a winning streak similar to the title run-in form we showed last season could see his overtake our rivals before the end of the season.

“It was a big result and it gives us a lot of confidence,” Henderson said of the City win, reports Liverpool Echo.

“We were outstanding but we just have to keep going. Wednesday is another big game and we have to focus on getting the job done against Burnley.

“We finished strongly last year, we won 12 of our last 14 games but we just missed out on the title. That was disappointing but we have learned a lot and hopefully we can use that experience in the last 11 games and give it a real go and win as many games as we can.

And Henderson hasn’t yet ruled out catching Man City despite the seven point gap.

“Listen, it’s always possible,” he said.

“The main thing is to concentrate on ourselves as much as we can, keep the momentum going and see where it takes us really.”

We might need a few more of those exquisite long-rangers Jordan, if that’s going to be possible.

He added: “I caught it well and thankfully it went in but maybe Philippe’s was just a bit better, wasn’t it?”
