Liverpool starlet Joao Carlos Teixeira has admitted that he could be forced to make some difficult decisions this summer, with his Anfield future set to be decided when he returns from his loan deal with Brighton.

The 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Championship side so far this season, chipping in with six goals and three assists during his 25 appearances to ease the club’s relegation fears.

Reports suggest that Brendan Rodgers already plans to include the youngster in the club’s 2015-16 pre-season campaign, where he will be given one final chance to show what he can do.

Speaking about his future, the youngster said: “It’s really difficult because Liverpool are a big club with great players, but you dream of playing Premier League football with a club like that.

“I really want that and Im going to work for it, but you never know what’s going to happen and of course I’d see Brighton as an option. I like everything here—I like the city and it’s nice living here.”

The Portuguese youth team international has only made one Premier League appearance for the Reds thus far, having joined us from Sporting Lisbon in 2012 for a fee of £800k.

After being hailed as the “new Deco” prior to his arrival, a back injury hampered his early time with the club. His development then began to show sign of promises late last season, leading to him being loaned out for the current campaign.
