Liverpool fans left furious by Daniel Sturridge injury & don’t hold back on Twitter…

Given the number of incredible moments Premier League fans have witnessed, it’s an unenviable task to try and break down such a rich and expansive history to just 50 moments.

But in doing so the Mail believe Luis Suarez’s bite on Branislav Ivanovic in 2013 might perhaps be second only to Eric Cantona’s flying Karate kick in the most shocking moments ever.

Having given away a penalty to the Blues and gifted them the lead, Suarez seemed overly pumped to get Liverpool back into the game.

Daniel Sturridge provided a beautiful pass to Suarez in the area but Ivanovic was too quick and shepherded the ball away.

But whilst the TV cameras followed the action, on the periphery Suarez covertly grabbed the arm of the Serbian and latched his teeth onto his arm.

Ivanovic immediately fell to the floor and tried to make the referee aware of the situation whilst Suarez cheekily tried to feign injury and claim for a penalty.

We all wondered what on earth was going on until the replays showed the smoking gun.

In the aftermath, Suarez was given a 10-match ban and missed the start of the next season.

We thought that might be the last of it but again the Uruguayan decided he wanted to taste human again, and bit Giergio Chiellini at the World Cup.

Is it something to be proud of? Probably not – but the ridiculousness of these incidents is only matched by the ridiculousness of his talent.
