Mario Balotelli scored one and made one today…

It was a good day all round for Mario Balotelli today, and the Italian was even able to crack a smile as he posted this snap on social media website Instagram following the Anfield charity game.

Balotelli is pictured with fellow strikers Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry, who both participated in the all-star game, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Both Balotelli and Drogba scored for Team Carragher, as they took an early and commanding lead at Anfield, only for two penalties from Steven Gerrard to ensure the match ended all square.

The Italian had an excellent game, not only scoring the first, but also making the second for his teammate.

Drogba was quiet other than his goal, while Henry’s finest moment came mid-way through the first-half, when he faked a shot and passed to Ryan Babel all in the same movement.

Balotelli will hope that he’s smiling again next weekend, following our game with Arsenal. With Daniel Sturridge out injured, the 24-year-old will be among the candidates for a starting role, and he did his chances no harm here.
