Transfer website ranks ten highest valued Liverpool players, with Dejan Lovren surprisingly included but Emre Can left out

7) Lazar Markovic – £14.96m

The Serbian has made a solid start to life at Anfield, following his £20m summer move from Benfica. While he’s arguably not produced as regularly as one might have hoped, he has netted crucial goals against Sunderland and Tottenham. Markovic has also performed strongly in a variety of roles – including the difficult wing back position. Still young, with bags of potential to boot.

Fair valuation? – NO

6) Mamadou Sakho – £15.84m

Signed by Brendan Rodgers for £15m in the summer of 2013. The 25-year-old has had a mixed time of it at Anfield, but has enjoyed some of his best performances in the recent run of 13 Premier League games unbeaten. We’re probably still hoping for a little more from the Frenchman, but a fair rating.

Fair valuation? – YES

5) Adam Lallana – £19.36m

Yet another summer signing. The £25m-man has struggled to maintain form and fitness since his move to Merseyside, and it’s hardly surprising to see his value slide. Still 26, with time to continue improving, the former Southampton man will hope his second season with us proves more fruitful.

Fair valuation? – YES
