The Red army have exploded on social media with their praise for the dazzling Brazilian, whose performances have already earned him a handful of fan-voted awards at Anfield, most recently the February Player of the Month.
His six goals and seven assists from 45 games do not do justice to some of his truly sensational performances so far in this campaign, where his iconic Brazilian skills have often proved too hot to handle.
While he faces stiff competition to win the award, with Chelsea duo Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s David de Gea and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez also nominated, there’s little doubt over who these loyal Reds want to see lift the award later this year…

Once again, I’m proven right. Coutinho has today been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award. Coutinho > Özil. Simple as that.
