Lazar Markovic is probably in need of a confidence boost. After lasting just 45 minutes against Aston Villa and Arsenal, his only two appearances since mid-March, the Serbian has clearly gone in search of fresh inspiration.

Judging by his Twitter account, he’s found it in the shape of these impressive yellow and black boots, which come complete with the Serbian flag, his initials and his squad number – perhaps just in case he forgets who he is!

Markovic has made 33 appearances for Liverpool since making the move from Benfica last summer, scoring three goals and contributing one assist, however he hasn’t completed a full 90 minutes since January.

The 21-year-old forward will be hoping that his new boots can inspire an upturn in fortunes against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, as he battles with the returning Jordon Ibe for his spot in the team.

Ibe was cup-tied for the game against Villa and is widely expected to return at the Hawthorns.
