Meet ‘The Nigerian Ronaldo’!
According to Turkish reports in Millyet, mooted here in the Mirror, Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in signing 19-year-old starlet Moses Simon.
The winger has burst onto the scene in Belgium this season since his move from AS Trencin in Slovakia. Moses has bagged seven goals in just ten appearances for KAA Gent, and won two caps for Nigeria already despite not yet exiting his teens.
Like the man he’s been loosely compared with, Moses is rapid, likes to run at his fullback, and can play anywhere along the front-three.
In this respect, we could similarly compare him to Raheem Sterling, although he’s far bulkier than our own wonderkid, if a little less technically accomplished right now.
We can’t say if there’s anything in the rumours, as before a little research, we didn’t know too much about the Nigerian.
Due to our penchant for targeting talented youngsters though, it wouldn’t surprise us if we’re at least keeping tabs on Moses.
