The Frenchman has not played since our FA Cup win over Blackburn Rovers at the start of April, with Dejan Lovren taking his place alongside Martin Skrtel for the last six games.
Thankfully, Brendan Rodgers’ side have done okay in the defender’s absence, conceding just five goals, but no doubt the Northern Irishman will be pleased to have his man back for our final two games.
The Reds host Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday before finishing the season with a trip to Stoke City. Sakho will be looking to add to his 26 appearances this season and solidify his place in the team for our next campaign.
Form and fitness have restricted Sakho to just 33 Premier League appearances since his move from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2013, so let’s hope his latest return is a sign of things to come!
