According to German newspaper Bild, Pep Guardiola’s side will look to capitalise on the current situation regarding the winger, by making a bid for the player.

The 20-year-old’s days at Anfield appear numbered, after the BBC reported that the England international intends to leave Merseyside, and will not be signing a new deal at the club. With two years left on his current deal, there is little pressure on us to actually sell, which could mean that interested clubs have to spend more.

Bayern currently boast one of the most talented squads in Europe, especially in attacking positions, so it is difficult to see where the player would actually fit in their side. It seems unlikely that he would be able to earn a starting role, unless the side experience an injury crisis like the one they have endured this season.

Mario Gotze, Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are better players than him right now, so we wonder whether he’d consider a move. For us, it would be ideal to sell him to a foreign club if he truly doesn’t want to be at Anfield anymore though.
