Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he is recovering well from the hip operation that he underwent two weeks ago, telling his Twitter followers that he is feeling ‘a lot better’.
The 25-year-old has been plagued by injury problems for the last 12 months and was restricted to just seven Premier League starts during the current campaign. He still managed four goals, as many as Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini combined, proving his overwhelming importance to our side.
Sturridge underwent hip surgery at the start of this month, with reports in The Guardian confirming that he’s likely to be out until at least October as a result of the operation. Thankfully, the surgery went well and it’s hoped that this should put an end to the player’s frustratingly regular problems.
The England international was certainly feeling in high spirits on Tuesday, as he tweeted this message:
2 weeks post op and I’m feeling a lot better. I’m a happy man today
