There was a lot expected of the young Englishman when he signed for Liverpool from Coventry City. However, he was never able to establish himself as first choice, with the Reds preferring Jerzy Dudek. He went on loan to Wigan before signing for them permanently.
Scott Carson (2005-2008, Rating: 6)
Another youngster who will be best remembered for his heroics against Juventus in the Champions League. He was on the bench that night in Istanbul for the final, when Dudek stole the show, and he left for West Brom after another couple of frustrating years.
