Tiago Ilori played the full 90 minutes as Portugal Under-21s recored an easy 1-0 victory over England Under-21s in the European Championships last night…
The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bordeaux, never looked troubled, was composed in possession, and passed cleverly from the back.
In fact, he had Harry Kane, and then our new summer signing Danny Ings who came on as a substitute, in his pocket.
Will he play a part next term…?
Here’s how Liverpool fans reacted online…
What was obvious during the whole season is now even more clear after just two games: Ilori should be back, Can should play in midfield #LFC

Tiago Ilori seems like a very decent player. Really hope that Brendan gives him a fair chance. — Jés (@Nohrinho) June 18, 2015

@ViktorFagerLFC : Is there anyone here on Twitter doesn’t want to see Ilori start for us next season ahead of Lovren and Skrtel?
