Club Career:

  • Clyne began his career with Crystal Palace. He made the step-up into the first-team in 2008 after almost a decade working with the academy. He played more than 100 times for the club in all competitions and repeatedly helped them avoid relegation from the Championship.
  • Clyne was twice voted Palace’s Young Player of the Year (in 2009 and 2010), while he was also named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year following the 2011-12 campaign.
  • He made the step up to the Premier League when he joined Southampton in 2012. He’s played 94 of the Saints’ top flight fixtures since their return to the division, helping them fully establish themselves as one of the countries elite sides and leading them to a return to European football.
