Ridiculously innaccurate Daily Mail report names Liverpool’s ten worst signings of the PL era

What the hell, Daily Mail?! The tabloid have named our ten worst signings of the Premier League era, and they’ve done a very poor job of it in our opinion. Joe Allen, Titi Camara and Igor Biscan make the cut, while there is no room for the likes of Oussama Assaidi, Milan Jovanovic or Robbie Keane!

We pick apart their effort in the list below. Take a look through and tell us who you agree with more, which players you think don’t deserve to be included and which players you can’t believe that they’ve missed out.

Andy Carroll

The big man is never going to live this one down. In reality, his record for Liverpool wasn’t as bad as it could have been. He actually scored 11 goals during an injury plagued 18 months at Anfield, while he looked virtually unstoppable during our run to the FA Cup final in 2012. Sadly, you expect more for your money at £35m.

Joe Allen

This seems a very harsh inclusion. He certainly hasn’t set the world alight since he joined the Reds from Swansea City in 2012, but to include him on a list of the ten worst signings of the last two decades seems laughable. He’s played almost 100 games for us in all competitions and must be doing something right if he keeps getting games.
