Stewart impressed for our Under-21 side last season, playing in both defence and midfield, and will now look to gain more first-team experience by joining the Robins.

The London-born starlet has already spent time with Cheltenham Town and Burton Albion – both League Two clubs last season – and will now look to push on at a higher level, as our official website states.

Stewart’s move completes a busy couple of days for academy transfers. Jordan Williams has also agreed to join Swindon – as we told you on Friday – while 19-year-old defender Lloyd Jones has moved to Blackpool.

Williams is the only one of the three players to have made his debut for the senior side. He featured against Middlesbrough in the League Cup last year and scored a penalty in our shoot-out victory.

We wish all three players luck with their imminent loan deals!
