Liverpool announce another new signing; on the bench against Helsinki

Liverpool have confirmed on Twitter that the club has secured the future of Brazilian midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza, who has been named among the substitutes for today’s friendly match against HJK in Finland.

The Reds have been strongly linked with the teenager for several months and he was pictured in training with us earlier this week. Now it seems that a deal is indeed done, with a statement suggesting we’ve secured his long-term future – although the tweet fails to confirm any further details about the possible transfer.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 18-year-old will join the Reds from Porto Alegre-based Internacional for a fee of around £500,000. They also state that he will likely spend the season in the academy ranks along with fellow new signings Bobby Adekanye and Brooks Lennon.

The rest of Liverpool’s team tonight is very strong. Philippe Coutinho starts for the first time since the end of last season, while both Jordon Ibe and Adam Lallana are also included in an attacking line-up.

Danny Ings gets the nod ahead of Divock Origi in attack, whilst Dejan Lovren keeps his place at the back.
