Allan Rodrigues de Souza set for loan move after impressing on Liverpool debut

Liverpool’s latest summer signing – teenage midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza – is likely to go out on loan this season, after impressing on his debut for our Under-21 side during a friendly against FC Luzern on Tuesday.

Despite the Reds losing the game 1-0, the Liverpool Echo was full of praise for Allan’s performance, which they state was watched with interest by a number of European clubs.

The 18-year-old might have been expecting to spend the new season perfecting his craft with Michael Beale’s side. However, we are reportedly keen, both for work permit and development purposes, to secure a continental loan move for the player, who was an unused substitute for the first-team in our friendly in Helsinki last weekend.

Allan, a £500,000 signing from Brazilian club Internacional, played alongside a host of better known Liverpool youngsters in the game – including Joe Maguire, Pedro Chirivella, Cameron Brannagan and Ryan Kent.

The Echo also answered a couple of big questions at the end of their piece. They state that Brannagan, who captained the side last night, only missed the Far East tour because of injury, whereas Sinclair, who was also not included last month, is currently embroiled in a contractual dispute.

We hope that clears some things up.
